Most lumps and bumps on the eyelids are harmless and easily removed. We examine every lesion carefully, and we also perform ptosis repair and eyelid lifts (blepharoplasty).

Harmless and cancerous eyelid lesions can look surprisingly alike. That’s why a biopsy is often taken to check the cells.
Treatment depends on the results. Harmless lesions are removed completely, and lab results usually come back within a week to guide any next steps.
How removal works
Most procedures are quick and done under local anesthesia:
- Performed under magnification with fine, nearly invisible stitches
- Benign lesions are fully removed
- The area is reconstructed with direct closure, a small flap or a graft
- Lab analysis (histology) guides further treatment
- Cancerous lesions may need additional treatment, such as radiotherapy
